Pamela Kelly-Day, CPA

Partner | pkelly@dayseckler.com | vCard

“I feel it is vitally important to be responsive to my clients’ needs. This is accomplished by making myself available to clients on a regular basis and educating them on their financial information.”

As a partner at Day Seckler, Pamela specializes in providing comprehensive audit and tax services to closely held businesses. She is very familiar with large multistate corporate and personal tax returns. Pamela also has experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as she has prepared financial statements for clients on this basis. She works with clients in numerous industries, but primarily services clients in the distribution, manufacturing and retail industries.

Pamela prides herself on her role as a problem solver for her clients. In particular, she has played a large part in improving one client’s internal controls by identifying weaknesses and implementing policies and procedures for improvement. In another instance, Pamela helped one company grow by performing due diligence and various financial projections for several acquisitions.

Prior to creating Day Seckler with her partners, Pamela served as a senior manager at a regional accounting firm for 20 years. Her knowledge and genuine passion for the industry allows her to better educate and train clients in making decisions that impact their business. Pamela credits her success to her dedication to her clients and colleagues; determination to provide the best services possible; and a strong work ethic.

Pamela pursued a career in accounting because she was always great with numbers. Plus, she knew at an early age that she wanted a career in business. One of Pamela’s favorite quotes is by Sandra Day O’Connor, which states, “Each of us brings to our job, whatever it is, our lifetime of experience and our values.” To Pamela, she always believed that when providing services to the firm’s clients, you should bring to the table your expertise by providing your talents and your passion for helping others, learning from your experiences and never compromising your values.

Pamela grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey. She currently resides in Salisbury Mills, New York with her husband, Wayne and son, Alex. In her free time she likes to volunteer, travel, work out and spend time with her family. Pamela has a strong passion for helping children with special needs, which is evident by her volunteer work with St. Christopher’s, Inc. She received the organization’s Driver Award in October 2011 for her continued assistance with driving awareness and building funds for their programs.
